As we've learned more about COVID-19, how it spreads, who's most vulnerable and how it impacts those that contract it, we've had to take a critical look at our processes and procedures. We now understand that COVID-19 is most harmful to those 60+ years old with underlying medical conditions. This demographic describes a significant portion of our client base. What’s more, traditionally, we service a very large client base and usually host large crowds that come seeking our help. With these concerns in mind, we are taking precaution to protect clients, staff and the public from the spread of Coronavirus. Please read the ENTIRE list that follows:
  • OUR OFFICE IN DURHAM IS OPERATING FULLY BUT NO LONGER  SEEING CLIENTS IN PERSON. We are available to you online via email at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and via mail 
  • NEW CLIENTS — We are accepting new clients but the process has changed. if you've never visited us, please complete the New Client Intake Form at We'll follow up with you. Be patient. We won't follow up on the same day. It might possibly be more than a week. We are adapting and improvising in real time so we expect there will be growing pains for us.
    • To establish and protect the effective date of any new claim, we recommend that you submit an Intent to File (VA Form 21-0966) to your state's VA Regional Office. This will ensure that no monies are forfeited while you are waiting to be accommodated by the Veterans Pavilion.
  • EXISTING CLIENTS, while we are here and fully operational, we are not seeing clients in-office. We ask that you engage with us via email. We ask that you email new documents and claim correspondence to us at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or mail them to Veterans Pavilion, 1920 Cook Road, Durham, NC 27713. Again while we prefer to receive documents via email, mail is also an option. If you must mail, please do not require that we sign for your mailing.  We'll prepare any responses and return them to you with submission instructions. We respectfully ask that you NOT send documents by fax and no drop-offs please. Please send documents by email or mail.
    • If you have been compensated due to help we've provided to you and would like to submit payment to Veterans Pavilion you can do so online at or send payment payable to Veterans Pavilion to 1920 Cook Road, Durham, NC 27713.
    • If you do not have a scanner and you don't have a friend or rellative that can assist you with sending documents electronically, you can use your smartphone. There are inexpensive ($1-$10) apps in the Google Play and iOS app store that will let you use your smartphone's camera to easily capture images and create multi-page PDFs.
